Steps before realize a Flash website!

[1] Before starting you have to draw the website on the paper
[2] Create things that you need and can not made in Flash ( images, sounds, etc)

Note: [1] Ask the client ”Why is so important to create the website?”
[2] You’re asking, his asking, tell him the good parts of your websites ( fast loading, good rendering, etc)

Many designer’s have questions for their clients like as:

What type of business or organization are you trying to promote?
Do you have a Web hosting service?
Do you have a Web domain name reserved?
Do you have a logo? If not, will you need me to design one?
What is the purpose or goal of your Web site?

  • Promote products?
  • Sell products?
  • Create customer awareness?
  • Foster customer service?
  • Gather customer feedback?
  • Distribute company information via an internal Web site?


How many sections will your Web site need?
Will your customers be ordering products online?
Will you provide the text for your Web site?
Will you need full-motion video on your Web site?
Do you want a soundtrack? If so, do you want me to provide a sound controller?

Ask the client for wich type of persons is the website who will be created.

- Before to start you need to know the default size of  an Flash Document is 550 pixels by 400 pixels. Change the size on 800 pixels by 600 pixels
- Prepare the imagines in ImageReady, chose the quality between 70 and 80 “standard”
- Download the sound for your background, search on Google “sounds for Flash Movie

If you find the right sound, create an button for music in Sony Acid Music, save as like Mp3 with data rate of 128Kbs

- If you want to integrate an video, the new Macromedia he release Macromedia Flash 8 Video Encoder who transform the files with .avi extension in .FLV (Flash Video). To do this open Macromedia Flash 8 Video Encoder, open files, Settings, select the band of internet you want to realize the conversion (modem users, or choose low-, medium-, or high-quality video), standard is Medium Quality. Click on Show Advanced Settings if you want to change the Standard settings. In Encode Video select the next parameters:* Video Codec and select On2 VP6 for FLASH 8 and Sorenson Spark for FLASH 7 Player

* Quality: Choose Low (150 kbps), Medium (400 kbps), High (700 kbps), or Custom. If you choose Custom, the Custom text field becomes available, which enables you to type the desired setting in kbps.

* Frame Rate: Accept the default Same As Source option or choose the desired frame rate from the drop-down men. The frame rate of the video must match the frame rate of the Flash movie in which the video plays.

* Resize Video: Here select the size for the windows where it will be render the movie. The Standard size for an monitor is 320 x 240 pixels

* Key Frame Placement: Accept the option Automatic setting si Flash 8 Video he determina how and where be place the keyframe’s

*In section ENCODE AUDIO, for high-quality chose 80 kbps. If the video contain only voice chose 32 kbps

* If you want to encode your video later (I always encode my video while I

sleep), choose File?Save Queue and then close the Flash 8 Video Encoder. When you next open the application, all of the files you saved are listed in the queue. Click the Start Queue button to process the Files.
