I come with a new “tip” for business owners that interract with the public and have a ‘complaint notebook’. Personally, if i were a business owner I would consider this very much as it’s a very important aspect in making things better. Why?

If a client is not happy with the oferred services, I, with this notebook, can improve my services, I can evolve and I can omit future mistakes. Even more, if the client leaves a phone number, I could have a coffee with him/her and talk about how I can improve my business. What I am saying is something that many don’t consider as important, but in order to have a successful business you need to put yourself in the position of the client.

In the end, if marketing exists, let’s use it wisely to have success. Not only the money are important in a business, but a brand is also; to have a name you can associate with something good and pleasant.. quality! I give the Apple and Mac example: when they were out on the market they had another wanted target, other that the one that uses Windows and classic desktops.

Rewinding to the complaints, I personally made a complaint at KFC in my city, unhappy with the way i was asked what i wanted and the bad service. I wrote the complaint on a piece of paper that in the end, surprised, i did not introduce in any public urn, i gave it directly to a ‘team leader’ who, of course, laughed when he received it and smiled at the bad waitress. They were surely friends and my complaint will not get anywhere.

When you hear or read JUST DO IT, what do you think about? Surely the brand NIKE…

Brang + slogan = a succesfull business

I started to talk about branding thinking about my ideas and the way i think them is an easy way to create a brand, especially in countries where you can influence the population. With a TV comercial that is on for one month, you can make people think that that product is good, maybe very good, you can send a message in a correct way, but it can be wrong. The majority will accept it as a good message, because it is popular.

The slogan.. do you have one? I do, in my mother language site, but i unfortunately didnt spread it, so people can associate it with my site. Without a slogan it’s like losing 30% of the business’ value, a mistake i often see but i still make when it comes to my projects.

Let’s stick to a web page, a brand in my opinion is built on these:

• Logo - a representative image in the workfield you activate in, an attractive image and easy to remember. People will surely recognize the sign.
• Slogan - as I said before, a brand cannot exist without a slogan, as well as a slogan cannot exist without a logo.
• Quality - a web page must be qualitative, when people hear your slogan they have to think nice about you, it’s useless for you to have a known slogan but people would talk rubbish about it..

To create a brand you need money and work. In my country people cannot understand that you need to invest money. You can’t go up if you don’t offer anything in exchange. It’s the same with the internet, you can make quality SEO but you won’t reach the desired audience. I exclude people who have no money and are sceptic about internet tranzactions.

I end here and i suggest you create a slogan, an original one to match the blog subject, and maybe i’m not the right person to say this, as I dont have a logo myself, but i gathered some informations and I can offer you that, because I know they are right. Maybe in another post I will tell you about my idea of promoting a blog, based on curiosity, without offering a link, only text.

I am a SEO specialist and today I will talk about SEO (search engine optimization). I think everyone knows what is SEO. Search engine optimization contain two parts, SEO on page and SEO off page!

SEO OnPage: - This part contain optimization on website, on text, on source code, meta names and other important elements! Now think ok a webpage who sell sport shoes. Without Seo the page not exist, think about how much we sell if we are in the first page or on Page 10. Before us exist more 90 page who sale sport shoes. Before to start we need to make a research to see what keywords have most searches! You can find this with Google AdWords: Keyword Tool!

Now you need to buy an domain with our keywords in it (sportshoes.com / sport-shoes.com)! Maybe you think the last domain is not so good but we have two keywords there. After this step we need to create the site, a site who doesn’t have more than 100kb. The page he need to be created on the standars, here we talk about VALIDATE CSS and HTML!

We know the keywords and we need to create the text who have big density of our keywords: SPORT SHOES. You can calculate the density with TextAlyser webpage.

After this steps we write:

• the title: SportShoes.Com - Play your Sport with great Shoes.
• Meta Description we describe the page: SportShoes.Com - Play your Sport with great Shoes. Find the perfect shoes from our Brands: Nike, Adidas, Converse, Dada, Reebok
• Meta Keywords: sport shoes, shoes, nike, adidas (Here we need to write important keywords first)
• H1 - He need to contain our keywords
• Strong text - In content we put the strong tag on keywords. I indicate to make this step on the first and the last paragraph
• Italic text - Like strong tag we write keywords with italic
• Alt Images - Every Image he needs to have an description (ALT DESCRIPTION). Here we put our keywords. If we have an Image with a Nike Shoe in description we write Sport Shoes - Nike
• Link - I recommend to put a link on our keyword

On our page we create a sitemap but manually because we need to set the PRIORITY of pages. Normally the first page (index) is most important if we sell our sport shoes from it and there we have Priority 100%.

Now to have more relevance on Google and to have more keywords we make an Tag Cloud. He help us very much!

SEO OffPage: - Many people forgot about the importance on this steps. We need to create backlinks from page with big PageRank. If an client search on Google our keywords, the results is webpages with big relevance and this relevance contain The PageRank, backlinks, age of domain and others elements but not so importants.

Things to do for raise in PR and raise the webpage for Google:

• Include the webpage in Directories. Here we need to submit on a right category, where we have some concurent webpage. Is good because the others site have some keyword like us and we dont need visitors from directories because is not a source of visitors. To submit our site in Directories we need same description, i recommend to have 10! Yes, 10 different description with the big density on our keywords. Dont forgot about title, 10 different description with 10 different titles. I recommend to not submit your webpage in all directories in a day, you need to make 20 today, 30 tomorow and we make this because if we submit many in the first day we can be see like SPAM’ers and Google dont like this!
• Find Blogs where exist discussion about Shoes or Sport and comment there with our URL in the special form. Search forums and be active there, put a link in your signature. I recommend to search quality blogs and forums, where is trafic and activity.
• Social Bookmarking… Personally I use StumbleUpon, Digg, Reedit, Delicious and others site and I have great results. With this post I think to have 1000 visits.

You can promote your page on a radio, TV or make stickers with great design to atract people! If you print your adress on pencils and offer it free you will see the results

Final result:

[Step 1] Create a new document in Adobe Photoshop with an white background. My document have this size: 500 x 250 pixels.
[Step 2] Select the Horizontal Text Tool and type the text where you put the picture

[Step 3] Open the picture with BMW in Photoshop and select it! To do this press CTRL + A or go to Sellect and chose All. Now copy your image ( CTRL + C ) and paste it ( CTRL+V ) in the first document. Automated a new layer is created.

[Step 4] Now the layer of picture is selected. Is time to put the image in our text. Press the ALT key and go the cursor in a middle of the layers. With the ALT key pressed will be apaer an icon where we press left click. The imagine is now in the text.

[Step 5] Now is time to apply some effect on our text, Apply the properties from the next pictures. For the stroke effect is use #e7e7e7 color.
